There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to pricing for editing, proofreading or beta reading projects. Because of this, we don't have a rigid pricing structure in place. Experience has taught us it's fairer to price each job individually. After all, you each have your specific needs and budget. Every manuscript is unique, so every quote is bespoke.

FREE SAMPLE EDIT

Hiring an editor is a big decision and it's important to find one that matches your needs. You'll be working closely together so it's vital you get along. That's why we offer a free sample edit of 500 words for your chosen service. This way you can see if our style is a good fit for your work. There's no obligation to purchase the full service after the sample edit.

STICKING TO YOUR BUDGET

We want to make your budget work with your book, not against it. We can offer a fixed-fee based on word count or an hourly rate depending on what suits you. You don't need to commit to the whole project up front either. You can break up your manuscript into multiple sections or begin with just a few chapters. We also offer payment plans and discounts for multiple projects.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We ask for a percentage of the cost upfront as a booking fee. This fee is deducted from the final invoice. Please note we only return your edited manuscript once full payment has been received.

Unless requested, all quotes are given in GBP and are to be paid via PayPal.
